Potain Cranes El Paso

Potain Cranes El Paso

During 1928 within La Clayette, France, the company Potain was born. Since then, Potain has been the world leader in tower crane production. They are responsible for more than 100,000 cranes installed and sold all over the world. At present, the company manufacturers over 60 models from various manufacturing facilities inside France, China, Italy, Portugal and Germany. The company represents many different product ranges designed for various applications. These equipments are sold through an international Manitowoc dealer network.

The family of Potain cranes are divided into different tower crane families. The smallest cranes produced by Potain are the self-erecting cranes. These cranes vary from 1 ton to 7.98 ton capacity. The next size up is the top-slewing cranes that are larger and higher. These cranes vary from 7.98 to 64 tons. Moreover, these are the largest custom-made special application cranes. These models offer a reach capacity of one hundred sixty tons.

Several of the main innovations with the company comprise the LLC range of hoists, the Dialog control system and the Vision Cab. The growing reputation of the company has expanded their appeal with various models. Potain cranes are usually found on conventional construction sites, power stations, bridge building projects, ship-building projects and shipbuilding yards.

Two of Manitowac's largest facilities are based within the United States. Their manufacturing facility is based in Wisconsin. In this state, both the tower crane parts and crawler cranes are made in Pennsylvania in the Shady Grove plant. Here both boom trucks and mobile cranes are built. Regional offices are situated in Brazil and within Mexico. As well, the extensive dealer network found all around Canada and the United States offers support and coverage unrivalled by any other crane producer.

Manitowoc has dominated the lifting market within North America for more than 50 years. They have built their solid reputation with a combination of outstanding support and service and quality products. The popular names of Grove, National Crane and Manitowoc have been top members of their market sectors within Canada, Latin and South America and USA.
