Manitou Aerial Lifts El Paso

Manitou Aerial Lifts El Paso

Lots of workplace applications will require more reach than the usual job. The articulating and telescopic booms is a great alternative for these particular instances. Engine-powered or bi-energy or electric booms are great for outdoor, indoor or rough-terrain use, so basically, there is a suitable boom lift available for each and every type of job. Simply take the time to figure out what kinds of capacities you will require to get the task done and what kind of loads you would be dealing with.

Articulating booms are described as aerial work platforms that utilize multiple boom parts that hinge or articulate. These equipment offer a maximum reach of 6.25 meters or 21 feet 5 inches to 69 feet 9 inches or 21.26 meters. These models could vary in height between 11.14 meters and 36 feet or 43.15 meters or 141 feet. Usually, articulated boom units are classified by horizontal reach and by platform height.

In order to access work places over obstacles and barriers like equipment or shelving, the articulating booms are normally used. They have less horizontal outreach than telescopic booms, but the articulating booms offer better positioning and greater versatility. This enables better access for overhead work places from aisles and from tight places. Throughout the range of articulating booms, the majority of them can hold weight capacities of up to 500 pounds or 227 kg. These equipment can easily lift 2 operators and their tools and at times extra supplies.

Similar to scissor lifts, the industrial and rough terrain articulating booms are normally equipped with non-marking tires and are made for indoor use. Most of articulated boom manufacturers use clean burning fuels such as DC electric power or liquid propane gas or LPG for their industrial models. AC drive system technology is common in industrial forklifts, though it is new to the aerial work platforms market. This technology combines 3-phase AC drive motors together with DC batteries for more drive speed and braking, continuous control of turning and overall energy efficient operation.

The rough terrain units have been engineered specifically to work on rugged work locations. These machines have features such as lug-tread tires, diesel engines, an oscillating axle and 4-wheel drive. These are common specialized things used on rough-terrain articulating booms. These heavy-duty extras are what make these equipment able to withstand the rough settings they operate in.
