Forklift Safety Rules and Suggestions

Each year, there are about 20,000 cases of accidents that are connected to utilizing forklifts within the US alone. And each year approximately 100 deaths are attributed to forklift accidents. Training

An employee must be 18 years of age or over to operate a forklift.



Maintenance

Forklift inspections should be carried out daily in order to guarantee the proper and safe functioning of the machine. The inspection includes keeping a checklist of items and reporting any problems right away.



The Workplace

Safe use of a forklift involves a safe and clean workplace. A safe work site means establishing "traffic lanes" that are just designated for forklift use.
