Nissan Cushion Tire Forklift El Paso

Nissan Cushion Tire Forklift El Paso

There are 7 various classifications of lift trucks as determined by the Industrial Truck Association or ITA. These classes are divided into the type of work setting; indoors, outdoors, smooth or rough surfaces and narrow aisle; by the kind of engine; whether the operator is sitting down or standing; and finally the characteristics of the machine, regarding the maximum grade and tire type. Some of the classes are further sub-divided by operating characteristics. Here are the following forklift categories:

Category 1 Forklifts: are considered to be electric motor trucks with air filled or pneumatic tires or cushion tires. The Class 1 forklifts also comprise 4 lift codes, or subcategories which are:

Lift Code 1: Stand-up, counterbalanced rider unit.

Lift Code 4: Sit down, 3-Wheel electric.

Lift Code 5: Counterbalanced rider, cushion tire sit down tires.

Lift Code 6: Includes pneumatic tire units, counterbalanced rider, and sit-down rider.

Class 2 Forklifts: Class 2 forklifts narrow aisle trucks with electric motors and solid tires.

Class 3 Forklifts: Class 3 forklifts include electric hand trucks and hand/rider trucks with solid tires.

Category 4 Forklifts: The IC or internal combustion models make up Class 4 forklifts. These are sit down rider models with cushion tires. Generally, they are suitable for indoor use and on hard surfaces.

Category 5 Forklifts: Class 5 is Internal Combustion Engine sit down rider units outfitted with pneumatic tires. Usually, these models are great for working areas with significant inclines or on rough surfaces outdoors.

Class 6 Forklifts: Class 6 forklifts would consist of internal combustion powered or electric models. These ride-on models could tow at least 1000 lbs. This category is designed and engineered to tow loads as opposed to lift it.

Category 7 Forklifts: This category is defined as rough terrain trucks with pneumatic tires. The Class 7 forklifts are powered by diesel engines and are almost exclusively utilized outdoors.

The different classifications of lift trucks help to keep them organized and separated. Different types of working atmospheres rely on various classes in order to get their work done. Forklifts are quite specific in their lifting and loading capacities. Their various types of tires and engines are made for specific applications. To be able to select the right forklift to fulfill your tasks and to suit your requirements, do some research to know exactly what you will need from your specific unit. By talking to a few respectable dealers and making time to investigate your alternatives, you could choose the right machinery.
